SSB Constable Recruitment Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2020: SSB has asked for online applications for filling 1522 constable vacancies (Veterinary ,Driver, Laboratory Assistant, , Ayah, Carpenter, Plumber, Cobbler ,Painter, Tailor, Cook, Gardner, Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala, Water Carrier and Waiter) in Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted in SASHASTRA SEEMA BAL, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Candidates selected are held liable for serving anywhere in India or outside the Territory of India and they will be governed through SSB act & rules.

SSB Constable Recruitment 2020: Exam Pattern
SSB Constable Recruitment 2020 exam will comprise of 4 phases – (1) Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) (2) Written Exam (Common Entrance Test – CET) (3) Documentation & Skill Test and (4) Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
PHASE 1st: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST)
PET & PST shall be held at locations by bard of officers stated by SSB, as per convenience of administration details are given below:

Note:
*Ex-servicemen are exempted from PET. However, they will have to appear in other recruitment stages i.e. PST, written examination, skill test and medical examination etc. as applicable.
There is no test of Physical Efficiency (PET) for CT (Ayah) Female. Though, candidates for ost of CT (Ayah) need to appear in PST, written exam, skill test and medical examination as stated.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
The aspirants qualifying for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) need to undergo Physical Standard Test (PST). Aspirants including Ex-Servicemen who do not meet the minimum height and chest needs shall be rejected from the process of recruitment.

Note:
*Candidates who require relaxation in height and chest needs to submit the certificate of registration for their community from specific District Authorities. In the process of non-production of certificate at time of Physical Standard Test, their statement for relaxation in height and chest shall not be considered and their candidature will be held as cancelled for the post . No correspondence for this matter will be entertained by SSB .
*Candidates who are held as disqualified in Physical Standard Test (PST) need to file an appeal in written form of application to the appellate authority for height and Chest re measurement only. The appeals shall be prepared on the same day.
Candidate’s weight needs to be proportionate to height and age. Weight will not be considered as criteria for disqualification at the time of PST. Although, the overweight/ underweight candidates shall be disqualified at time of Detailed Medical Examination (DME) depending upon weight and age on the day of complete Medical Examination and the height as restrained during the Physical Standard Test.
PHASE SECOND : Written Exam (Common Entrance Test – CET)
Candidates held as qualified in Physical Standard Test (PST)need to appear in a written examination that will be conducted as below:

Note: Final merit of all posts shall be organised on basis of marks attained in written examination only.
PHASE THIRD: DOCUMENTATION AND SKILL TEST
After end of the written examination, a list of candidates that is upto 20 (twenty) times of the vacancies (category wise)shall be prepared, for the documentation process before appearing in the skill test, Documentation is to be conducted by board of Officers and secretarial staff as stated by SSB, in that all the original documents as filled by the candidate at time of filling of online application is to be properly checked and duly attested photocopies will be demanded from the candidates . If any aspirant is not able to produce his/her original documents and self attested photocopies of documents, their candidature will be held cancelled and the candidate will be responsible for cancellation of his/her candidature.
In the procedure, some candidates although declared qualified in written examination cannot make a place in the list prepared for documentation and skill test shall not be informed for documentation and skill test.
Documentation and Skill test will be held by the Board of Officers stated by FHQ, SSB on the basis of Recruitment Rules mentioned by FHQ, SSB.
The test of skill for all the posts will comprise of 50 marks, the minimum required qualifying marks for all candidates that includes SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Ex-Servicemen candidates shall be 60%.For all posts trade test will be considered qualifying in nature. Marks of trade test are not to be included in the marks of Paper-I to prepare final merit list.
NOTE: Candidates mentioned as qualified in PET, PST, Written Examination, Documentation, and Skill Test does not have surety as to be called for Detailed Medical Examination.
PHASE FOURTH: DETAILED MEDICAL EXAMINATION (DME)
After fulfilment of the skill test as appropriate, based on merit of candidates written examination numbering upto 3 times of vacancies (category wise) for advertisement in Employment News shall be shortlisted and held for documentation and detailed Medical Examination. Some candidates although considered qualified in skill test but do not find a place in the call list prepared for Documentation and Detailed Medical Examination (DME) will not be called.
The Detailed Medical Examination shall be held according to the Revised Medical Guidelines provided by ADG (Medical) on 20.05.2015 and amendments further. After being stated FIT in Detailed Medical Examination it will in none of the way give any candidate any legal claim or right for final appointment in Government service, as it will be based on merit
FINAL SELECTION PROCESS: SSB CONSTABLE EXAM 2020
The ultimate selection list is to be prepared on merit basis, category wise, after fully completing Review Medical Examination. It is emphasized that candidates merely securing the qualifying marks and considered medically unfit ,are not be considered for final selection because the cut off marks will be measured on basis of vacancies after whole recruitment process is completed. In case, equal marks obtained by candidates merit list will be prepared as per following:
a) Candidate securing more marks in the Trade Test is to rank higher.
b) For case, in which marks stated at (a) above are also equal, the senior age candidate senior will be ranked higher.
c) For case, in which date of births are same, then aspirants will be prioritized on basis of alphabets of their names (in pattern of dictionary) i.e. A- first, B- second, C- third, etc.
After assessing the above stated pattern of exam for the SSB Constable EXAM 2020, one must have understood that only studying hard is not the only key for clearing exam. Candidates need to be physically and mentally fit through physical exercises for clearing physical and medical tests.
