General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) is a company of reinsurance that organizes recruitment exam each year for shortlisting eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Manager (Scale-I). GIC Exam: Eligibility

The basic requirement that candidates are required to fulfill for meeting GIC recruitment eligibility are below:

  • A candidate must either be a citizen of India or a residence of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee or a person of Indian origin.
  • A candidate needs to be aged between 21 and 30 years.
  • A candidate needs to possess a graduation or post-graduation degree with at least 60 per cent aggregate marks.
  • Note: Subject of graduation/post-graduation differs according to the stream that the candidate is applying for.

GIC Recruitment 2020

It has following steps:

Step 1: GIC Exam Application Form

Candidates are required to fill the application form for GIC exam in online mode on the official website of the corporation. The GIC fees for application is Rs. 500. Although, candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Physically Handicapped (PH) category and the employees of GIC and GIPSA Member Companies are relieved from payment of the application fee.

Step 2: GIC Admit Card download

Candidates who completed registration for the exam shall download their admit card of GIC exam from the official website of the corporation. The call letter of GIC comprises of all relevant information like candidate’s name, exam date, exam time and exam centre address.

Step 3: Appearing for GIC Exam

Candidates are required to be present for the GIC recruitment exam held in online mode. Subjects of which questions are raised in GIC exam are Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Numerical Ability and Computer Literacy. The written test weightage is 150 marks.

Step 4: Appear for Interview & Group Discussion

Candidates who qualify the written test are said to appear for Group Discussion (GD) and interview round. The GD and interview round weightage is 50 marks.

Step 5:GIC Exam Result

GIC Exam 2020 result is declared by the corporation on its official website. The result is declared in the form of a merit list that consists of names and roll numbers of candidates who qualify all the stages of the GIC process of recruitment.
