RBI Grade B Exam: Notification 2020
RBI Grade B Exam notification is declared in September. The notification is available in PDF format and comprise all information in relation to the exam like exam dates, eligibility criteria, pattern of exam , syllabus, exam centres, vacancies, etc. Earlier for applying to the exam, candidates are required to read the notification carefully.
RBI Grade B Exam: Eligibility Criteria
To fill the exam form, candidates need to fulfill firm criteria of age, educational qualification and nationality. Candidates shall check given eligibility criteria:
Nationality | Candidates must be a citizen of India, resident of Nepal/Bhutan/Tibetan refugee who have settled in India permanently. |
Age Limit | Candidates need to be between 21 to 30 years. For MPhil and PhD, the upper age limit shall be 32 and 34, respectively. Relaxation in the upper age limit shall be given to candidates who belong to the reserved categories |
Educational qualification | Grade B General: Graduation with 60% (50% in case of SC/ST/PwBD) DEPR/DSIM: Master’s Degree with 55% and 50% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates |
Number of Attempts | General category candidates having appeared six times in the Phase I exam are not eligible to apply. No restrictions for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS candidates |

RBI Grade B Exam: Selection Process
Fill the application form: Application form shallbe visible online on the official website. Application form consists of various stages which candidates need to complete. The application form shall not be recognized till candidates pay the fees for application. Fees for this exam is Rs 850 for Gen/OBC candidates and Rs 400 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
Declare of admit card: The admit card is generated differently for varied stages of exam. Admit Card could be downloaded online by mentioning the registration number/roll number and password/date of birth. All candidates who are registered will be first given admit card for the Phase I exam. Candidates who qualify the Phase I exam is provided with admit card for Phase II. Admit card for the interview is provided to candidates who qualify the Phase II exam.
For appearing in the exam: RBI Grade B exam consists of various stages: Phase I, II and Interview. The Phase I exam for General post consists of objective type questions from General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. Total marks of the exam are 200. The test shall be held online.
The Phase II exam for General post consists of two objective papers and one descriptive type of paper. Both papers shall be held online. The test carries 300 marks. The Phase I will comprise of objective type questions on Economics. Total marks of the test are 100.
Phase II comprises of two papers-II and III. The Paper-II will be held offline in which candidates shall be given descriptive type of questions on Economics.
Paper-III shall be descriptive type paper on English and is held online. Every paper of Phase II carries 100 marks. Phase I of DSIM that is also called Paper 1 comprises objective type questions on Statistics. Total marks of the test are 100. Phase II comprises two papers-II and III. Paper-II is held offline and consists of questions from Statistics. Paper III is held online and consists of questions from English. Each paper comprise of 100 marks.
