About SSC JE:

SSC JE is held by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for recruitment to the post of Junior Engineers (JEs) in several divisions of Engineering comprising of Electrical,Civil, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts. Exam will be held for recruiting candidates for posts of Group-B (non-gazetted) in level-6 (Rs 35,400-1,12,400) of pay matrix of the seventh Central Pay Commission.

कर्मचारी चयन आयोग (एसएससी) ने जूनियर इंजीनियर (सिविल, मैकेनिकल, इलेक्ट्रिकल एंड क्वांटिटी सर्वेइंग एंड कॉन्ट्रेक्ट्स) भर्ती परीक्षा 2020 के लिए नोटिफिकेशन जारी किया। पर जाकर 30 अक्टूबर 2020 तक ऑनलाइन आवेदन किया जा सकता है। कुल वैकेंसी का विवरण आयोग बाद में जारी करेगा। एसएससी ने कहा उम्मीदवार यह ध्यान रखें कि उनकी फोटो तीन महीने से ज्यादा पुरानी (नोटिफिकेशन जारी होने वाले दिन से) नहीं होनी चाहिए। फोटो पर डेट प्रिंट होनी चाहिए |फोटो का साइज 20 केबी से 50 केबी के बीच होगा| वह जेपीईजी फॉर्मेट में होनी चाहिए।

चयन प्रकरिया:
उम्मीदवारों का चयन पेपर-1 (सीबीटी) और पेपर-2 के आधार पर किया जाएगा। पेपर-1 में पास उम्मीदवारों को पेपर-2 में बुलाया जाएगा। सीबीटी ऑब्जेक्टिव टाइप होगा। इसमें नेगेटिव मार्किंग होगी।

SSC JE Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria 2020-21

SSC JE Recruitment eligibility criteria varies according to the post applied by a candidate. Although, the initial parameters that aspirants require to fulfill for meeting eligibility criteria are:

  • Nationality/citizenship: A candidate needs to be either a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee that came to India before January 1, 1962 or an Indian who moved from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East Africa countries.
  • Educational qualification: A candidate must complete his/her degree/diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical engineering as on January 1, 2020
  • Age limit: A candidate must be of age maximum 32 years as on January 1, 2021

The Staff Selection Commission has declared the SSC JE Recruitment. With the notification, commission also declared the SSC JE Application Form. Candidates require to fill the online form till October 30th 2020. SSC JE 2021 exam shall be conducted held from March 22-25, 2021.

SSC JE Exam:  Dates 2019-20 for Paper-I (Revised)

Staff Selection Commission has reviewed SSC JE paper-I 2019-20 date of exam for the second time because of the prevalent COVID-19 pandemic situation. The SSC JE Exam 2020 exam will be held from October 27-30, 2020. Earlier, it was scheduled to be conducted from September 1-4, 2020. Also, before that the exam was to be held from March 30 to April 2, 2020. 

SSC JE Exam: 2019-20 Admit Card

Admit Card was declared by Staff Selection Commission on March 18th,2020 for North Western region (NWR). Although, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 countrywide exams are postponed. Presently, the reviewed SSC JE paper-I dates of exam have been declared and will be held in October.

SSC JE Exam admit card for NWR along with all varied regions shall be declared again about a week before conduct of the exam. 

SSC JE Exam 2020 admit card will be made available on the commission’s official regional website. Candidates shall be able to download their admit card by filling their needed login credentials.

It needs to be considered that SSC JE Exam admit card is a compulsory document to be taken along with to the exam centre. Candidates also need to carry a passport-size photograph and a valid photo ID proof with them. Candidates not comprising any of the stated documents shall not be permitted to give the paper.

SSC JE Exam: Recruitment Process

Selection process comprise of the following steps:

Step 1: Fill Application Form for SSC JE

Candidates require going to the official website and completing the online SSC JE application form. To apply, candidates are supposed to register on the official website. After that, aspirants are required to log in to their account and fill-up the form.
