SSC JE RECRUITMENT 2020-21

SSC JE is organized by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JEs) in several branches of Engineering comprising Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts. The exam is directed to recruit candidates for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts in level-6 (Rs 35,400-1,12, 400) of pay matrix of the seventh Central Pay Commission. The SSC JE 2020 exam for paper-I was held from October 27-30 for all excluding Bihar candidates and shall be held on December 11 for Bihar candidates. SSC JE paper-II will be conducted on March 21, 2021.

SSC JE Exam: Eligibility 2020-21

SSC JE eligibility criteria differ according to the post applied by a candidate. However, the basic parameters that candidates need to fulfil in order to meet SSC JE 2020-21 eligibility criteria are:

  • Nationality/citizenship: A candidate shall be either a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 or an Indian who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa countries
  • Educational qualification: A candidate must complete his/her degree/diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical engineering as on January 1, 2021
  • Age limit: A candidate must be aged maximum 32 years as on January 1, 2021

SSC JE Exam : Recruitment Process

SSC JE selection process has the following steps:

Step 1: Fill the SSC JE Application Form

Candidates are supposed to visit the official website and complete the SSC JE application form online. For applying, the candidates first need to register on the official website. Thereafter, candidates will log into their account and fill-up the form online.

Step 2: Download SSC JE Admit Card

SSC JE Exam admit cards are ready available for download on the regional websites of the commission. SSC JE admit card is a crucial document comprising information related to the exam and candidate. Candidates are instructed to preserve the admit cards until the recruitment process is complete.

Step 3: Appear for SSC JE Exam

Students are required to appear for SSC JE exam according to the prescribed schedule. Candidates first are required to appear for SSC JE paper-I. Thereafter, all qualifying candidates shall appear for SSC JE paper-II.

Step 4: Assess SSC JE Exam Result
